Course Download and Re-Upload Area

Course Notes for all 'Modules'

Make sure that once downloaded, you ‘save as’ each module onto your computer, putting your full name at the end of the existing file name, for example:

It is easy to do this. Once each module has been downloaded onto your PC or laptop, RIGHT CLICK on the file and select RENAME. For example, rename document as: module_1_phd_tefl_student_name

On the full completion of each module, simply return to this web page, and use the ‘drop box’ below, to return it to us. Grading is done once all modules have been completed and returned to us.

Our essay marking of course work is based on many different points. These also include; originality of essay, sentence structure, punctuation, grammar and spelling. Take your time, and get it right!

While we fully support the use of the internet for research, when you find something on the internet or from a book, that perfectly fits the topic of the essay, don’t just copy and paste it! Read the article fully, then put it into your own words. This way, you won't fall foul of the grading team for plagiarism!

Google.com is an amazing tool for students, and you are sure to learn a lot along the way.

Important Notes for Students

Even with the awarding of fast-track credits, it takes a minimum of 6 months to complete the course for a highly experienced and knowledgeable ESL teacher (depending on how much time they can dedicate to the course). Note: Our grading teams will not accept full course submission in a time period of less than 6 months.

Students should note that our grading teams can instigate an inquiry, if they feel that the modules have been completed and returned too quickly, and they may even employ their software to check modules against both the web and internal documents, in order to see if assignments and modules have been simply copied from material found on the web, books or from other students. If they feel that plagiarism was used by a student to complete the work too quickly, it can create an issue with the grading team, so please take your time, make the work your own, and get it right!

You can also provide a list of 'resources' and hyperlinks, for any material (books, web pages etc), at the bottom of each essay assignment topic, to show where you found the material relevant to the topic, and provide recognition for those authors that wrote it.

When researching your essay assignments on the web, it is important that you re-write information you have found, to make it your own work. You can even add personal teaching experiences into the course work, to match the topics, thus giving an essay, a more personal feel. You will certainly learn a lot more this way!

In the extremely rare event that a student submits a module for grading, that is below the required standard, do not worry! If an assignment within the module has failed the grade required, we will simply ask you to re-do the work, while providing advice and direction on how to correct the error(s). This is done until the assignment receives a pass grade. It is our mission that all students successfully complete the whole course with a pass grade, and our 'Student Advisers' are always on-hand to help.

Fast-Track Credits

Special Note : You are exempt from 2 modules of your choice (not including the final dissertation), if you have a minimum of 12 months of English teaching experience and existing TEFL or other English teaching related certification. If so, please make sure that you use the 'drop box' below to send us your current CV and any certificates relating to this.

We also need a copy of your Bachelor's and Master's degree's (or equivalent) as evidence that you are eligible for this course (a close up photo of these certificates is sufficient). Please send these to us via the drop box below.

The drop box can also be used to send us module related course work, like video and audio files, however, please make sure that each item is saved and sent in a way that we can index it, for example, a video file that relates to module 1, could be saved and sent as: module1_video1_your.name.
