About Us
The TEFL University was originally formed in the United Kingdom in 2001, and was in operation as a cloud based university (similar to The Open University), a few years later. Our mandate is to provide affordable distance learning courses to English language teachers around the world, providing them with advanced subject knowledge learning, and career advancement degree certification on graduation.
The curriculum for each of our degree courses, is no different to that provided by any campus based university. We are a niche university that only provides single subject study courses (TEFL) to our students. To qualify for our courses, students must first have prior teaching experience, and previous teaching certification (TEFL, TESOL, CELTA or similar). Most of our students have on average, between 2-5 years of full-time classroom teaching experience, before they start one of our courses. We provide students with access to our team of student advisers, who are there to help, 7 days a week, regardless of different time zones. As part of our mandate, The TEFL University operates on a strict 'non-profit' basis. We are very proud of the service we deliver to our students around the world, and the quality of the educational courses we provide. |
